Fly Ash Brick Hardener

Plasterproof - Smart Admixture

Fly Ash Brick Hardener

Overview

Fly Ash Brick Hardener is a Chemical Additive used in manufacturing to accelerate the curing process and improve the physical properties of the bricks.

Common Chemical Bases – Yellow Theme

Common Chemical Bases

01

Chloride-Based

Common in non-reinforced concrete, these chemicals significantly accelerate setting time and early strength development.

02

Silicon/Silicate-Based

Used to harden and dustproof bricks, these often come as clear silicate liquids that improve surface finish and water resistance.

03

Polycarboxylate Ether (PCE) or PC-Based

High-performance liquid admixtures that act as superplasticizers, improving flowability, workability, and strength of the mortar.

04

Melamine-Based

Used as a superplasticizer to enhance workability, durability, and consistency in plaster and concrete mixtures.

Primary Functions & Usage Guidelines

Primary Functions

  • Early Strength Development: Reduces curing time, allowing bricks to be handled or shifted within 10 to 24 hours.
  • Water Reduction: Reduces the water-cement ratio, which leads to denser and stronger bricks.
  • Surface Quality: Provides a smoother, polished finish and reduces edge breakage.
  • Durability: Decreases water absorption and increases resistance to weathering.

Usage Guidelines

  • Dosage: Generally used at a rate of 200 ml to 250 ml per 50 kg bag of cement.
  • Application: It is usually added to the mixing water or directly into the dry mix (cement, fly ash, and aggregates) during the initial blending stage.
